Overview
Portal is a fleet management utility for vehicles running Predator dash-cams (or similar compatible software/hardware). Portal allows owners or managers to view real-time images from their vehicles' dash-cams, as well as telemetry like location and speed. Portal even supports telemetry back-logging, which allows Predator to record telemetry offline, and automatically upload the back-log once connectivity is restored.
Whether you just want to monitor one or two personal vehicles, or an entire business fleet, Portal's pay-as-you-go model scales to fit your needs. A flat-rate of $20 per month per vehicle includes unlimited telemetry submissions (with a 10 second cooldown) and 1GB of location history storage per vehicle. Portal also makes it easy to download and export your data in platform agnostic formats (GPX, JSON) to make it easy to share and edit data.
Hardware
Portal relies on a small, low-power computer (like a Raspberry Pi) running Predator or Predator Beacon to transmit telemetry from each vehicle you want to track. If you already have a Predator dash-cam installed in your vehicle, then you can simply enable telemetry reporting in your settings. If you don't already have a Predator dash-cam and don't care about dash-cam recording, you can install Predator Beacon instead, which is a lightweight variant of Predator that doesn't require a camera. Predator Beacon is compatible with nearly all single-board computers capable of running a typical Linux distribution, including Raspberry Pis, LibreComputers, and similar products.
